Care Guild for you Egyptian Cotton Towels

Washing

  • Initial Wash - Before using your towels for the first time, wash them separately in cold water to remove any manufacturing residues. This helps to enhance their absorbency.
  • Regular Washing - Wash your towels in warm water (around 40°C or 104°F). Avoid using hot water as it can damage the fibers over time.
  • Detergent - Use a mild detergent that is free from bleach and fabric softeners. Excessive detergent can lead to buildup and reduce absorbency.
  • Load Size - Do not overload the washing machine. Towels need space to move around to get clean.

Drying

  • Air Drying - For best results, air dry your Egyptian cotton towels. Hang them in a well-ventilated area to avoid mustiness.
  • Tumble Drying - If using a dryer, select a low heat setting. Remove the towels when they are slightly damp to prevent overdrying, which can lead to stiffness.
  • Avoid Fabric Softeners - Do not use fabric softeners, as they can coat the fibers and reduce absorbency.

Storing

  • Storage Environment - Store towels in a cool, dry place. Avoid damp areas to prevent mildew.
  • Fold Neatly- Fold towels neatly to keep them in good shape, avoiding heavy stacking which can cause creases.

Maintenance

  • Avoiding Lint - If you notice lint after washing, brush the towel with a lint roller or brush it gently to remove it.
  • Dealing with Stains - Treat stains promptly with a gentle stain remover. Test any stain removal products on a small area.

Additional Tips

  • Color Care - For colored towels, wash with similar colors to avoid dye transfer.
  • Frequency of Washing - Ideally, wash towels after every 3-4 uses to keep them fresh and prevent bacteria buildup
